It’s pronounced Bereea not Berayuh

Howdy all! Hope this post finds you well, and happy. Today Mark and I took a layover in Berea because we thought it was such a cool town! We woke up this morning headed down to a local breakfast place where we waited out a storm and talked to some locals about the strip mines that lie ahead. After the rain let up we walked through several little shops that were selling pieces made by the college students. We saw some absolutely beautiful pieces, all hand made, and some of the best craftsmanship I have ever seen. After walking around for several hours and seeing a lot of the town we headed down to the laundromat to get our laundry done, it’s amazing how much you take advantage of things like laundry, until you have to pedal two miles down the road to get it done. After all that was done we went out to dinner and then toured the campus before ending up at a little pizza place to watch game 6 of the NBA finals. Tomorrow we enter Appalachia, and along with that will come some difficult climbs, and much more rural country. We are heading for Booneville, KY tomorrow, check back for an update!
