As you can imagine, the logistics that go into a 1200-mile bike ride are pretty complex. Not only are we coordinating where to stay, community presentations, and daily cycling routes, we also have to take into account Mark’s daily hair dressing appointments and Devon’s pedicures! Actually, a shower for them might only be a weekly occurrence (if they’re lucky).
There have been many wonderful people and companies that have played a big role in supporting our campaign this year. Without them, this venture would not be possible!
Art’s Cyclery of San Luis Obispo, CA is generously donating the packaging of Mark & Devon’s bikes and round-trip shipping for the ride. Foothill Cyclery in SLO donated their time to tune up the bikes and a generous amount of bike parts. Old Town Bike Shop in Colorado Springs, CO will be receiving the bikes from California and assembling them free of charge. Bardstown Road Bicycle Company in Louisville, KY will be greeting Mark & Devon at the end of their ride and packaging up their bikes to ship back home.
WOW that’s a lot of support from amazing local bike shops to make this happen!! We are forever grateful here at Spinning to end Finning and I’m sure sharks are too!!
